|Abstrakt EN:||. Successful compatibilization between starch and clay leads to formation of starch/clay nanocomposite and significant improvement of mechanical properties. This article is concerned with two techniques used for synthesis of novel biodegradable materials - solution method and melt-extrusion. These two methods of synthesis are the most used in research. Solution method is easier and faster to prepare a large-sample-series, melt extrusion is used in industrial applications. It is crucial to know, how the applied methods influence material properties of starch-based products of the same composition. The differences consist in ordering polymer chains and their breakage during preparation. Concerning nanocomposites, different preparation method results in different degree of clay exfoliation and distribution in starch matrix.|
