Abstrakt EN: This contribution summarizes main results obtained within a reserach project supported by the European Space Agency. Within this project, gravitational gradients observed by the GOCE gradiometer were applied to constrain geophysical models over two distinct geographic areas (a mid-ocean ridge and a large sediment basin). Equiangular coordinate grids of gravitational gradients at both mean satellite and ground levels were prepared to be used for geophysical modeling. Obtained results validated through ground data and independent gravitational models proved the continuation of the GOCE gravitational gradients down to the Earth?s surface was feasible with the high relative accuracy. Continued band-limited gravitational gradients were augmented for the high-frequency information derived from available ground gravity and altimetry data. Satellite-only and combined gravitational gradients can then be used for constraining geophysical (crustal) models.
