Abstrakt EN: Designing an induction brazing coil can be a challenging business in terms of achieving a desired quality of the resulting solder joint at a given cost. The aim of this project is to design inductors for induction brazing of CO2 evaporator and CO2 monoblock using generator CEIA 25-SA/80 of the following parameters: the brazing time must not exceed 20 seconds and both brazing rings have to be melted simultaneously. Before designing some variants corresponding to these requirements, a reference model was created. Then a winning variant was selected out of four versions and a prototype was built. Finally, the prototypes were tested and optimized until the desired parameters were achieved. The heating time did not exceed 20 s although no concentrators of magnetic flux were used. In addition, tests indicated that only the rings were melted, leaving the other parts unaffected. These results show that the parameters required were fully achieved.
