Abstrakt EN: Tilting-pad journal bearings are nonlinear dynamic systems where mutual interaction between the rotor shaft and supporting segments is described by nonlinear hydrodynamic force from pressure field in the thin oil film. All segments of the bearing move independently. This contribution is focused on the derivation of the complex kinematic and dynamic model of tilting-pad journal bearings with respect to the circular plain journal bearing theory.
